A Message From
Our Principal...
Dear Parents,
It is with great anticipation and excitement that I welcome you to a new and outstanding school year! We are very proud our school and are excited to be adding eighth grade this year! I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Madelyn Sierra-Hernandez, and I am the Principal of Irving and Beatrice Peskoe K-8 Center. The Faculty, staff and I are looking forward to receiving your children and providing them with an excellent education.
Our school has achieved many accomplishments due to all of the hard work and dedication of our Faculty and Staff in addition to the continual support offered by our Parents and Community Members. We are fortunate to offer both a Primary and Secondary Grades enriched educational program. Our students will be educated with an enriched curriculum targeting higher order thinking that will prepare them for a successful future.
I encourage you to join our Peskoe Parent Teacher Association (PTA). As a PTA member, you support our school in many ways. As a PTA member you can assist Peskoe in many ways to benefit our students and our school.
Our school’s website is a resource available to everyone. It contains valuable information about our school for you and your child. In addition, there are various links to enhance our students’ educational program.
Please be reminded that all students are encouraged to eat a free, healthy breakfast in our cafeteria every morning from 7:30 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. After breakfast, all students grades 3-8 are to report to the covered PE court to their designated area and wait for their teacher. Students in Kindergarten, Grade One, and Grade Two are to sit outside their classroom and wait for their Teacher.
Peskoe K-8 Center is a mandatory uniform school. Students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Five are to wear a red polo and either khaki or navy blue pants. Students in the middle school are to wear navy blue polos and khaki or navy blue bottoms. For additional information regarding our uniform policy, please visit our school’s website.
We are looking forward to meeting and greeting all of you and your children as we begin an outstanding school year. Together we will continue to achieve excellence!
Madelyn Sierra-Hernandez
